Pag Black: The Founder's Story

Pag Black often credits her paternal grandmother and great aunts work on the Manhattan Project—that lead to the discovery and harnessing of atomic energy—to her rooting in art and the sciences.  “My roots derive from scientists who believed and proved innovators solve the world’s problems, and the best scientists are also artists.”   She graduated from MIT, Harvard and CGU with a MBA, MA and PhD; founded a charter network that scaled to 16 schools in post-Katrina New Orleans, publishes in material science journals, and scaled several other businesses however, cites becoming a mother as been her greatest joy and honor.

Earlier this year she lost her son at 10 months and two days old, to SIDs.  She made this product for him, and at the urging of a dear friends has agreed to share it with other moms with the hope of enhancing peace of mind and in an effort to honor the work her ancestors started of rooting material understanding in community, research and data.
